In 1987 the Battalion moved to Gibraltar for a two year posting and were stationed in Lathbury Lines. Life on ‘The Rock’ was a welcome break after two years in Northern Ireland for all concerned. Pomp and circumstance and a life in the sun, albeit a little confined.
