The Vikings will have moved to Bulford by the end of the 90’s so there will be a slight time lag, before memories are gained, however those who served in Tidworth will have fond or otherwise memories of the ranges at Bulford. Also for a short time at the end of the 70’s Ex WO2 Eddie (Gripper) Davis ran the pub in Bulford, unfortunately Eddie has since passed away, but he will be remembered by all who knew him as an outstanding soldier, footballer and character. They don’t make them like that very often. Eddies version of “Barnacle Bill the Sailor” was unequalled and would have been a No 1 in the charts if it hadn’t been for the language!
